How did ‘A Show of Stars’ inspire your process?
"I knew my response needed to be detailed, recognisable, have a handcrafted feel and be sophisticated with a sense of fun and joy."
How did you transform 2D drawings into 3D structures?
“I try to visualise a drawing into 3D in my mind first, then make white paper mock ups… my work is somewhere between 2 and 3D so it’s really 2 ½ D!"
Can you tell us about paper as a character in itself?
“I‘ll start with an idea about how I’m going to work but soon find a different way… I’m a sometime dog wrangler but I should really say full time paper wrangler!”
Which set was your favourite to create?
"I think the grand staircase in Buckingham Palace is one of my favourites - I loved making the cheeky Corgis and the Butlers!"
